The Indonesia Investment Authority (INA), in collaboration with the Institute for Economic and Social Research (LPEM) at the University of Indonesia, has officially released an impact assessment report evaluating two strategic national projects: the Bakauheni–Terbanggi Besar (BTB) segment of the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road and the Belawan New Container Terminal (BNCT) in North Sumatra.

The study highlights how both infrastructure projects play a significant role in accelerating connectivity, improving logistics efficiency, and supporting long-term national growth. The findings are expected to guide future investment decisions and strengthen Indonesia’s infrastructure ecosystem.

Jahen F. Rezki, Deputy Director of Research at LPEM FEB UI, emphasized the importance of this publication, stating that the report provides data-driven insights into the potential impact of INA’s long-term investment partnerships on Indonesia’s social and economic development. The assessment is projected to serve as a reference for evaluating future infrastructure projects and maximizing development outcomes across regions.

This release marks an important step in increasing transparency, accountability, and measurable progress within Indonesia’s investment landscape—aligning with INA’s commitment to driving sustainable value creation for the nation.
